Sasha Maslov / photographer
Sasha was born in Ukraine in 1984. Inspired and taught by his father, photographer Guennadi Maslov, and later his teacher and mentor, Oleg Shishkov, he developed into an aspiring young photographer. Later Sasha became known for his social documentary projects around Eastern Europe, especially in his native country. He started pursuing career as a portrait photographer in New York city, where he moved at the age of 24 in 2008. Since then he has been working for leading publications around the Globe and pursuing work on his personal projects, the most ambitious of which is, without a doubt, the Veterans project.

Michael Kazepis is a writer and editor from Athens, Greece. He is the author of the novels Long Lost Dog Of It and Nothing Crown. In late 2014, he launched King Shot Press, the literary fiction imprint of Broken River Books.

Patrick is a former U.S. Marine and current resident of Northridge, California, and works full-time as a journalist, copywriter, editor and poet.  Patrick has written for AccessLife.com, Wheelin' Sportsman, Amateur Chef Magazine, Healthcare Traveler, Northern Virginia Magazine and Chicken Soup For The Soul.  And has sold poems, articles and editorial pieces to both online and print publications over the past 30 years.  He recently had books of poetry published online at Writer's Closet and SynergEbooks, and another poetic tome regarding the life and death of Princess Diana, published in print, as well as many fiction and journalistic pieces published nationally and internationally.

Andre Gee is a freelance writer from Washington DC. He moved from DC to New York in 2013 to expand his artistry. Along with working on the Veterans project, Andre has been a contributor to various media outlets including RapRehab, Black Culture, and Impose Magazine.com. He primarily writes about Afrocentric issues and Hip-Hop.

Netzayet / editor
Netzayet is a freelance writer in New York City. Born and raised in Alabama, her interest in story gathering grew while accompanying her father on his many genealogy projects. She studied anthropology at Emory University and completed her masters in public health at Boston University where she focused on sexual and reproductive heath. Her past projects include an NIH funded grant at the Ichan School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai to translate scientific publications into accessible and easy to understand material. When not writing or working on health projects, Netzayet is tutoring students in her Harlem community, researching old school samples in new music or cheffing it up in the kitchen. She’s currently working on a short story series, highlighting childhood memories. 

Sarah Fahad / editor
Sarah Fahad is a Pakistani researcher and a freelance writer. She completed her graduation in Business Studies from her native country and worked at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI). She always had a passion for writing. She assisted in crafting and implementing several projects for the Committee of Corporate Social Responsibility at FPCCI. She moved to the US in 2013 for feeding her enthusiasm for research and writing. Her major area of research is multiculturalism in organizations.
